DOCTORIOUS
So many stories begin
this way: A lone M.D., fighting
to keep his patients healthy and himself sane, starts losing weight.
A pound here,
a couple more there. At first,
it wasn’t noticeable. But
after he began slipping through closed
doors sideways, the whispers began.
Yet it’s
not exercise. It’s not
diet. It’s not the long hours and extra brainwork he’s
putting in that makes the staff call
him “Doctor Toothpick” behind his back.
The problem? He’s
simply stretched too thin.
So much paper. So
much footwork. So much inefficiency. If
he hadn’t already given his
life to medicine, he’d devote
it to figuring out how to solve this
mess.
Fortunately, someone
else did. The people at HMS. They
put their mental powers to work figuring
out ways to help the good doctor use
his mental powers more efficiently. And,
unlike so many things in this day and
age, it worked. Soon, with a poofy cape
and a cocked eyebrow, our hero emerged …Doctorious.
Masses of paper
begone! Stacks and stacks of charts – Vamoose! What’s
Mrs. Moore’s status this morning? Click

it is, in plain Latin!
Doctorious was a changed man. His
practice was a more efficient practice.
His rounds went more efficiently.
And his stretched out days were over.
Strengths:
•
Has been clocked making rounds in record
time because comprehensive patient
information is now at his fingertips
• No longer walks 100 miles a day searching
for patient charts – now accesses radiology exams, lab results and other
historical data electronically in real-time Migraines no more.
• Coding is now linked to documentation so
both accuracy and reimbursements have dramatically improved.
• Leaves his practice in time for Jeopardy
due to the increased efficiencies
